For three years now, some of us have been supporting the city of Hamburg in digitising government services under the Online Access Act (OZG) in a way that lets other states use these online services too. Now its amendment, OZG 2.0, has been rejected by the Bundesrat — a good moment for us to discuss, off the record, the current challenges and forward-looking strategies, so we can play our part and keep pushing digitisation forward in a targeted way. Because Germany is still lagging behind.
