A dream? Singapore!

Just imagine: employees of a German municipality being expected to develop the software solutions they need for their work and their authority themselves. Wild, right? But only in Germany. Because Singapore is betting on exactly that. In a new initiative, 22,000 civil servants are being enabled to develop simple and complex digitisation solutions for their everyday work at the authority themselves, using AI — with no external development team at all. This approach isn’t just new, it’s revolutionary.

A model for Germany? That remains to be seen. But you can’t really argue with the logic behind it: nobody knows administrative processes as well as the officials themselves. Of course, the question remains how professional the resulting applications end up being. We’ll stay on it and keep you posted.
