States invest billions. And forget the most important thing: checking whether it’s worth it. Sounds odd, but it’s sad reality. According to a new OECD study, around three-quarters of states don’t evaluate their investments in digitisation and AI. But that’s urgently needed, to find weaknesses and steer funding more efficiently.
